🎨 Early Life and ‘Deadline’ Roots
From the late ’80s to the early ’90s William Potter played bass in Top 30 indie band CUD while writing and drawing NOMMO for seminal UK music/comics anthology DEADLINE. On leaving the band, Will worked as a writer, editor and artist for numerous licensed-character mags and partworks featuring TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES, TRANSFORMERS, CAPTAIN SCARLET and SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS, plus the DC COMICS GRAPHIC NOVEL COLLECTION and MARVEL FACT FILES.

Notable Works and Collaborations
Will has also written 50+ books for kids and adults including THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO CREATING COMICS, HOW TO CREATE FANTASY ART, the School Library Award-shortlisted comic/science series PROFESSOR KAT’S SCIENCE FACTS and, coming soon, KID-ZILLA, a series of graphic novels for younger readers.
In 2017, with CUD having reformed, he began collaborating with fellow DEADLINE alumnusPhilip Bond on a comic-strip unreliable biography of CUD: RICH AND STRANGE, followed by the ongoing satiric Britpop book GEEZER.
