To celebrate our sophomore year, we are going to he selling a limited edition High Vis Comic Con T-shirt with a design provided by a friend of the con and an all-around great guy, Keith Hopewell, better known in street art circles as SP: Zero. He will be part of this year’s convention as a trader, alongside nearly 30 more traders, selling his issues and very cool merch for his indie comic, After The Robot Apocalypse.

After Keith kindly contributed to our 2000 AD mural last year with his character mILK wITH a cHAINSAW and helped advertise our first comic con, it made perfect sense to ask him to come up with a design that included this weird and wonderful character, who appears in Keith’s comics.

We think he’s the perfect artist to design this year’s first official Kings Heath Comic Con T-shirt, as someone who has one foot in both the world of street art – which is where High Vis started – and another in the comic book world as both a fan and a creator. We can’t thank him enough.
All proceeds from the sale of these t-shirts will go back into funding next year’s show, in order to continue to offer a convention that’s free. So, if you do decide to pick up a tee – at £25 each – not only will you be picking up a cool bit of kit, but you’ll be helping us continue to put on the ONLY comic-focussed comic con in Birmingham for another year.

But be quick. Once they’re gone, they’re gone for good.
